Celebrate the USS Intrepid’s 81st Anniversary and join the Intrepid Museum for the second annual Summer Tasting Fest on August 16! Explore the world of wine and mixology with friends as you enjoy your favorite libations.

Summer Tasting Fest is your all-access pass to a wide variety of emerging and renowned breweries, wineries, and spirits from near and far. Sample a range of beverages throughout the evening while enjoying live entertainment, delicious food, and interactive games.

August 16 also marks the 81st Anniversary of the USS Intrepid's commissioning. This storied WWII aircraft carrier and National Historic Landmark became the centerpiece of the Intrepid Museum's collection when it was acquired in 1982.

With over 100 samples available, this event is a great opportunity to discover new brews, wines and spirits. Engage in conversations with brewery representatives, sommeliers, and master distillers to learn more about your favorite drinks and the craft behind them. Whether you prefer local beers or international wines, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Local food vendors will also be on hand, serving mouthwatering dishes (additional cost applies) that pair perfectly with your drinks. Don't miss out on this incredible experience and secure your spot today! All visitors must receive an admission ticket at the Museum’s Welcome Center prior to entering the Museum and Summer Tasting Fest. There is a security screening process upon entry. Doors for the Museum will open at 7:30 pm and the Summer Tasting Fest will start at 8:00pm. After entering the Museum complex, your Eventbrite ticket will need to be presented on the pier to access the Summer Tasting Fest. Last entry to the Museum and Summer Tasting Fest is at 11pm

Directions to the Intepid

BUS
Take cross-town buses west. M34 (34th Sts), M42 (42nd St.) or M-50 (49th St.) to 12th Ave. and Hudson River. Intrepid is a short walk North from the M34 and M42. The M50 drops off immediately in front of the Intrepid.

SUBWAY

Take the A, C, E, N, Q, R, S, 1, 2, 3, 7 train to 42nd Street, then walk or take the M42 West Bus to Hudson River (12th Avenue). Walk North to the Intrepid Museum at 46th Street.

Or take the 7 train to the 34th Street – Hudson Yards station. Exit near 11th Avenue, and then walk west to 12th Avenue and North to the Intrepid Museum at 46th Street.

FERRY

NY Waterway operates a ferry from Hoboken, NJ (14th Street) and Weehawken, NJ at Port Imperial Ferry Terminal and at Lincoln Harbor located at the Sheraton Suites on Harbor Blvd. in Weehawken, NJ. In just 8 minutes, the ferry takes you across the Hudson River to 39th and 12th Avenue, walking distance from the Intrepid. Parking is conveniently available at the lot adjacent to Port Imperial Ferry Terminal and in a nearby parking garage for the Hoboken ferry. NY Waterway Ferry departs every 15-20 minutes during peak hours.

NJ TRANSIT

From Penn Station, New York, take the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3 to 42nd Street, then walk or take the M-42 West Bus to Hudson River (12th Ave.). Walk north to the Intrepid. 

Driving

From Queens and Long Island — Take Long Island Expressway (westbound) to New York City/Midtown Tunnel (westbound). Exit tunnel toward 42nd Street. Turn left on 42nd Street (westbound), and follow42nd Street across town to 12th Avenue. Turn right on 12th Avenue (northbound) to 49th Street. Make U-turn around barriers heading south to 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

From the Bronx — Take Cross Bronx Expressway (westbound) to Henry Hudson Parkway (southbound). Henry Hudson Parkway becomes 12th Avenue. Follow 12th Avenue until 46th Street. IntrepidMuseum is on the right.

From Northern New Jersey — Take George Washington Bridge to Henry Hudson Parkway (southbound). Henry HudsonParkway becomes 12th Avenue. Follow 12th Avenue until 46th Street. IntrepidMuseum is on the right.

There is no parking facility at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Complex.
